We also have a Christian Doctrine feature each week. Apologetics is making a case for WHY we believe something. Christian doctrine is the “something” that we are defending. So let’s stay sharp on what it is we believe.
And if you are not quite a believer, no worries! Let’s lay out clearly what it is Christians believe so you can see the points you are struggling with. Clarity before agreement. We welcome you to our discussions. Our friendship does not depend upon you agreeing with us.
Likewise, if you are a Christian with a non-believing friend or roommate, Ratio Christi is a great place for them to get good information about Christianity without being treated as a project.
Our efforts to evangelize are all about persuasion and are NOT about power. If someone is pressured to believe, they might make a show of their faith to relieve the pressure. This is not good and will produce fake and superficial behaviors. On the other hand, if someone is persuaded by evidence that something is true, then they will truly trust in it. This trust in the facts of the matter, produces changed lives and eternal destinies.
We are Ratio Christi, and we believe that Christianity is True – more reliable than gravity, more stable than granite, and more precious than diamonds.
