Welcome to Ratio Christi!

We have an amazing lineup of topics this Spring.

I will send you our topic of the week texts, and other announcements. It is NOT a group text. I will not blow up your phone.

We kick off the semester on Feb 2nd with Julian leading a discussion on the relevance of the Bible for today’s modern society. Come challenge yourself as you struggle with the questions your friends and family likely have about the Bible.

Dr. Williams steps up the next week on Feb 9th to lead a discussion on what happens after we die. What do the various religions teach? What are the details of the Biblical teachings on Heaven and Hell?.

Vanessa leads a discussion on Feb 16th on “How can God use imperfect Christians who still struggle with sin?” This is a very interesting topic. We are imperfect tools in the hand of a perfect God.

Dr. Williams on Feb 23rd will expand our minds on what Christian environmentalism looks like. How does the Bible teach us to care for creation, and what are we to think or do about climate change?

Monday, March 2nd is a special meeting for our club. We are hosting an other STUMP THE CHRISTIAN event during our regular meeting time in LSC 144. Julian, Dr. Williams, and Dr. Primm will be in the hot seat as we host an AMA event. Bring your best and most thoughtful questions for our club leadership to tackle. And also bring an open mind and open ears. You may hear some GOOD NEWS.

On March 16th Dr. Williams will outline a range of views on the Great Flood of Noah. Over millennia there have been many studies, books, and articles written. DW will give an outline of this topic that is sure to prompt discussion.

THE VERY NEXT DAY on March 17th we will have an outdoor STUMP THE CHRISTIAN in the Frank Parker Plaza, where we will invite passing students to ask their toughest questions to the panel. Don’t miss this exciting event. (And please pray for clear weather.)

Vanessa is back on March 23rd to discuss the hiddenness of God. Why does God seem so distant at times? Why doesn’t he “show himself” more clearly so that more would believe?

Julian challenges us on March 30th to consider why God allows suffering. This is a difficult topic. Come learn how to deal with your own suffering and how to help your suffering neighbors and family members.

Dr. Williams will dive into the difficult concept of Apostasy. How do we understand this situation? If we are “once saved”, are we “always saved”? Different Christian movements and denominations answer this question differently. Come explore the range of answers to these questions.

Nearing the end of the semester, Julian discusses the typical atheist claim that “one does not need God to be moral”. Is that right? Come check it out.

There may be some changes to this schedule, and we may have some visiting speakers who will swap some of the topics. Therefore, you must JOIN OUR TEXT LIST to get our “topic of the week” text:

This is NOT a group text. I will not blow up your phone.

Lastly, we finish up the semester with a hot dogs and s’mores cookout at Dr. Williams’ house. It is a great time to relax, to celebrate the end of a great semester, and to recharge your batteries for Finals Week.

That’s the Spring 2026 Line-up. I hope you will join us for the WHOLE THING. You will grow stronger in your faith, deeper in your knowledge, confident in your relationships, and better in your listening.

God’s peace,
