Fall 2025 Topics

We have an amazing lineup of topics this Fall.

I will send you our topic of the week texts, and other announcements. It is NOT a group text. I will not blow up your phone.

We kick off the semester with Julian leading a couple of discussions on how the origins and the fine tuning of the universe leads us to the most reasonable conclusion that there is a non-material, powerful, personal, brilliant Creator who caused all things to come into being.

Dr. Williams steps up the next week to lead a discussion on the historical reliability of the Bible and how it is the best ruler to use to evaluate our lives. We can absolutely trust the Bible. Come learn why.

On September 22nd, Haley lightens things up with a fun Game Night. Come laugh with the Bible is Funny card game, grit your teeth with stacked UNO Draw 4’s, or challenge your skill with some Nintendo Switch games.

Haley leads the next week with a discussion on why we crave heros? Superhero movies and comics have been super-successful. Perhaps there’s more to the story than mere entertainment. Perhaps we NEED a hero, and perhaps Jesus is the REAL hero we are looking for.

Keyara dives deep the next week with a discussion on the Trinity. What has God revealed about himself in the Bible. If you have ever wanted to learn more about this interesting doctrine in Christianity, don’t miss this meeting!

Dr. Williams is leading a very unusual topic the following week on near death experiences (NDEs). People who have died on the operating table and have been resuscitated have told about what they saw when they were dead. Some of the things they saw were IMPOSSIBLE for them to see, unless they have a soul. This is a wild ride!

All the RC Officers and Dr. Williams will be in the hot seat as we host a Stump the Christian AMA event. Location has yet to be secured, but we will let you know. Bring your best and most thoughtful questions for our club leadership to tackle. And also bring an open mind and open ears. You may hear some GOOD NEWS.

When late October gets here, it should be time to get OUTSIDE. We will have an outdoor night at the intermural fields, throwing frisbee or playing some other outdoor games. Join us as we enjoy the brief Texas Fall weather.

Julian leads us in a discussion on the historical evidence for Jesus’ resurrection and an analysis of the alternate theories to see if they make any sense of the data. Spoiler: they don’t make sense of the data. Come learn why.

The semester is winding down and we need another game night on November 10th. Come put the brain on “fun” to relieve some stress.

There have been some great events on campuses across the country where Christian Apologists like Cliff and Stuart Knechtle answer and debate the students and professors. Come test YOUR skill in this “debate challenge”. We will play some of the toughest clips and you can see how your answers stack up to Cliff and Stuart’s.

Lastly, we finish up the semester with a hot dogs and s’mores cookout at Dr. Williams’ house. It is a great time to relax, to celebrate the end of a great semester, and to recharge your batteries for Finals Week.

That’s the Fall 2025 Line-up. I hope you will join us for the WHOLE THING. You will grow stronger in your faith, deeper in your knowledge, confident in your relationships, and better in your listening.

God’s peace,

Darren Williams
