As a Christian, our great commission from Jesus gives us our marching orders:
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” [Matthew 28:18-20 ESV]
This is the reason for our emphasis on evangelism. Evangelism is hard in this world full of skepticism and anti-Christian ideals. This raises several questions:
- What is a disciple and how do I “make one”?
- Baptism? Do I do that? Or does a church do that?
- What does this mean: the name (singular) of the (three persons) Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit?
- Teaching them to observe? Am I the teacher? Is the church? What is my role?
We discuss all these topics and more!
Come gain the knowledge, wisdom, and character needed to be an effective Ambassador for Christ?
Join Ratio Christi and share Christ with confidence and clarity.
We meet in the Chemistry & Forensic Scientist (CFS) building room 123 on Monday nights at 5:30 PM.
See you there!
